Stupid of the day

OK so this is the stupid of the day...

caller: "hi i have installed my printer, and i'm not sure that my printer works"

me: "ok mam, lets check out what is going on with the unit, have you finished the installation?"

caller: "yes, it says it didnt work"

me: "ok ma lets print a test page* proceeded through the basic windows test page to print* ok mam did it print for you?"

caller: "does my machine have to be plugged into the outlet to print?"

me: "mam the power outlet, yes mam it does. Mam, do you have paper in your machine?'

caller: "oh yes, but you know this machine is really making a weird clicking noise and it just hasn't stopped even when i turn it off it still clicking.."

me: "mam could you please describe the noise?"

caller: "well its coming from the back by the....*silence broke for a few moments* oh mam i am sorry my fan is hitting the wire that is behind the machine and making that noise.. do i still need to turn it on to print... "

me *about to fall out of my chair holding my breath and trying to calm down with all the composure that i have.** "yes mam please turn the machine on and plug in the usb cable..."

Ok that was the first five minutes of a 17 minute call that just cracked me up soo hard at the time i just couldn't keep going ... man this customer service life what a treat...

well it was great and i had to share.. love you all till then

ok so i am working on christmas eve... and all these dumb people are are calling me.. i guess that is my job... but hell can't they spend time with their families and not the stupid fax units that can wait til after christmas.. that is what is wrong with everyone stupid devices stupid people... dang they keep me employeed. I need a vacation. hope today  gets better and all the idiots stop and just go home.
